As we transition out of Plan B, we want to keep you in the loop on how the Union offices and venues will operate. We want you to visit and enjoy the Union spaces, but we also recognise that cases of COVID are still high and we need to protect you and our staff team as much as best we can.
- We will retain table service at all venues on non-event nights.
- Event nights will run in Metric on Wednesdays and Fridays, and when specifically booked for events by our Clubs, Societies & Projects.
- Event nights will run in Reynolds on Wednesdays, and when specifically booked for events by CSPs.
- Events/activities may still happen in h-bar, but these are usually compatible with table service.
- On event nights, venues will operate bar service, and may also run table service.
- Union Bar and FiveSixEight will be table service at all times.
We will review this throughout February and keep you updated!
When visiting the Union building and offices we ask that you keep your mask on while moving around the building, that you use the hand sanitiser stations that are available, and that you keep your distance from others where possible.
What you can do
To help reduce the risk of Covid spreading at the Union please ensure that you are following College guidance on mask wearing and Covid testing, this can be found here.
We understand that many students will have concerns, the measures we are taking are to minimize potential risk of disruption to holiday plans, so everyone can have a safe and enjoyable break. They are not in response to any known cases of Omicron within the Union.
The situation with Covid is constantly evolving and guidance from both government and the College are subject to change, sometimes without much notice. The College’s COVID pages are a good source of information and they also have a comprehensive set of FAQ’s and latest guidance for students.
You can also keep up to date with the latest Government Covid 19 Guidance.
