A village girl, unlettered and uneducated, comes to Vaucoulers with a message from God - that she, and she alone, will drive the English from France and crown the true French king. In the dress of a man, her heroism and spirit spark a fire in the hearts of commoners, soldiers, and kings alike. But the English are not idle, and soon she is caught between the peerage and the Church, thrust onto an unfamiliar battleground where words, not swords, will decide her fate.

Maid, whore, angel, devil, saviour, sorceress - these are just some of the words that have been used to describe Joan of Arc. We invite you to stand witness to her trial, and make up your own mind. Is she a heretic…or a saint?
